BUILDING COMPASIONATE COMMUNITIES

GenderWorks seeks to transform gender and sexuality injustice and build compassionate relations between all genders through implementing Gender Reconciliation workshops and programmes in South Africa, and in Southern African communities.

GENDER RECONCILIATION

Gender Reconciliation as a methodology applies the transitional justice principles of truth and reconciliation from South Africa’s post-Apartheid era to gender relations. GenderWorks and its network of trained facilitators has conducted programmes on Gender Reconciliation for groups such as grassroots and community-based organisations (CBOs), gender and peacebuilding non-governmental organisations (NGOs), local communities, universities and other institutions of higher learning, prison inmates, religious and interfaith communities, social justice activist groups, peacebuilding NGOs and Members of Parliament (MPs).
