MeToo to WeTogether

“I have been looking for a long time to find a way to bring healing and reconciliation between women and men. This work is the answer. We need much more of this work.”

~ Nozizwe Madlala Routledge, former Deputy Speaker of Parliament, and Deputy Minister of Health, South Africa

The signature three-day Gender Equity & Reconciliation (GERI) workshop, MeToo to WeTogether, brings together women and men and people of all genders in a safe-enough space where they can share their stories of gender wounding and injustice and break through to powerful healing experiences. Drawing on the South African Truth & Reconciliation Commission, the workshop addresses the gender divide still prevalent in South African society, brings hope for greater balance in gender relations, and mitigates the second pandemic of gender-based violence the country is plagued with.

GenderWorks offers the MeToo to WeTogether programme as:

  • A 3-day in-person workshop for up to 30 participants per workshop, with a close to even number of women and men per workshop
  • A day workshop where participants travel to the venue each day OR as a residential programme where participants all stay over at a venue for the duration of the 3-day programme.
  •  In an online format over 3 full days or over 7 weeks of weekly 3-hour sessions
